THIS TIME WE HAVE TO BRING ALL HUMANITY WITH US
All that surrounds us, especially our clothing distinguishes us from others, identifies who we are and indicates our status in society. The clothing that was chosen for us as Nazi concentration camp prisoners reflected the view that we were unworthy of existence. This tapestry is a reminder of that sentiment and this is what offends. On what basis though do we have the right to exist, at least from the viewpoint of humanity? Our sages tell us we’re a supposed special people, that we’re supposed to be a light unto the nations. So, why are the people of the world so bent on demeaning us even killing us? It actually makes sense, but only if we view humanity’s role correctly; as an indicator of where we stand with respect to our unique role as a light unto the nations. Here, we need to rekindle our ancient past and once again clothe in an attitude of love between each other that covers any differences and disputes. As we rediscover this correct connection humanity will follow and reflect that love back towards us.
